Hi! I'm 2 years old and growing out of standard infant equipment. My (foster, soon to be adoptive) mom is on a mission to provide me with the best and most appropriate equipment for my needs. I have Cerebral Palsy among many other diagnoses and I require head and postural support. I will need several assistive devices, some covered by insurance and others not. Mom has been on the hunt for a safe and comfy seat for me to lounge and play in at home. I have had a very difficult life since the moment I was born addicted to Heroin, Methadone, and Methamphetamine and suffering a Grade 4 Intraventricular Hemorrhage causing brain damage. I am able to use my extremities and roll side to side, but do not have full head control and cannot sit unassisted. I am also epileptic, functionally blind, feeding tube dependent, and have a condition known as Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome that doesn't respond to any medications. Despite all of my challenges I am a happy little one. I am approximately 6 months old developmentally and love hanging toys, music, and interaction. My smiles and laugh are contagious. I am in need of a new fun place to sit but Mom has been struggling financially having had to decrease her hours to part time at work due to my frequent medical needs. This seat would bring me great joy and improve my quality of life, which Mom is doing everything she can to make possible. Thanks for taking the time to read my story!
